"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates (Part 4)


In this week’s article, I am going to spotlight some of the most recent game show headlines in 200 characters or less, similar to Twitter. From The Pyramid's debut to FremantleMedia game shows looking for contestants, I'm sure that you will enjoy reading some of the latest game show news updates. Enjoy! 


Audience tickets for the eleventh season of Millionaire are now available. Go to the show's website to fill out a ticket request form. Millionaire will be taping shows from August until November.


This weekend, TeenNick’s “The 90s Are All That” block will air episodes of Family Double Dare, Legends of The Hidden Temple, and Figure It Out: Family Style. The two-hour block starts at 12:00am EST.


FremantleMedia is now searching for contestants & audience members for all of their current, hit game shows including Let's Make A Deal, The Price Is Right, Family Feud, and Total Blackout.

As a part of the fourth season of Let’s Make A Deal, Publishers Clearing House will be teaming up the show for a special $20,000 a day giveaway, up to $100,000 could be won by the end of the week.

The Price Is Right will be making some cosmetic changes to the set for the show’s 41st season. Changes include frequent use of male models, specifically Roger Goddard, and upgrades to the doors.

GSN revealed the judges, celebrity guest judges, and the professional chefs who will be competing against the civilian chefs for Beat The Chefs in a press release.  Matt Rogers will be hosting.

GSN has begun airing promos for The Pyramid on August 1. Mike Richards will be the host of this Pyramid revival, which premieres on Monday, August 3 at 7:00pm EST on GSN.

Minute To Win It did well ratings wise for its first night on GSN, pulling over 540,000 viewers during the 9pm show and 535,000 viewers during the 10pm show.

The Chase returns to ITV this September with new episodes. This will mark the show’s sixth series on air. The second series of the celebrity version of The Chase will begin airing on August 18.

New versions of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! console games will be available for XBOX 360 and PS3 this October. You can also play against other players online on XBOX Live and PlayStation Network.



Stay tuned for the series premiere of the new syndicated Scripps game show Let’s Ask America on September 17. This show has four contestants competing via Skype for a chance to win up to $25,000.
