Big Changes To Third Season of "Family Game Night"

Courtesy The Hub
I reported this a while back in one of my back “News In A Flash” articles, mainly concerning what is to be expected for the next season of The Hub’s Family Game Night. The two-time Parent’s Choice Award winning game show will return for a third season on September 23 at 7:00pm, after the series was initially cancelled. It would be awful to see this show go under, especially since Todd Newton won his first Daytime Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Game Show Host' on Family Game Night. At any rate, the show’s format has been remodeled for the upcoming season. Changes include a new announcer, the new roster of active games played on the show, the number of families competing, the grand prize, and a new end game.

The Cube isn't the only game show inviting famed U.K. Olympic gold-medal athletes to compete for thousands of pounds in cash. ITV’s Who Wants To Be a Millionaire will be reigniting its primetime, celebrity special edition with five-time gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave and his 14-year-old son Zak headlining Millionaire’s Celebrity “School’s Out” Special premiering Sunday, August 26th.

Comedienne Phyllis Diller Dies at 95

It hasn't been the best year for iconic celebrities as another well-known household name has passed away. Legendary comedienne Phyllis Diller died in her sleep Monday morning at her Los Angeles home. According to her manager, Mitt Suchin, Diller died "peacefully in her sleep" and her son, Perry, found her with a smile on her face. Diller is best remembered for her signature laugh, her eccentric wardrobe, and making jokes at her own expense. Many celebrity comedians and comediennes, including Ellen DeGeneres, Joan Rivers, and Whoopi Goldberg, were saddened by the news and paid their respects via Twitter.
