"Best of 2013" Top 10 Game Show Moments Countdown

Happy New Year’s Eve! This year was another incredible year for game shows with all-time records being broken left and right, numerous contestants became overnight millionaires and hundreds of thousands of dollars richer within minutes and classic favorites returned to television. With thanks to everyone who voted for their favorite game show moments to be placed in the #10 and #9 rankings, I have once again complied a list of the ten most memorable and unforgettable game show moments that happened in 2013. Considering all that happened this year, It was tough putting the list together (especially with yesterday’s historic moment on a certain Daytime show that made its way onto the list at the last minute). Without further ado, I present to you the final article on The Blog Is Right for 2013 and the “Best of 2013” Top 10 Countdown list. Here’s to 2014!

The Scuttlebutt On GSN Part Six: GSN Games Gears Up For Holidays and "Mind of a Man" & "It Takes A Church" Debut in 2014

To say that the year 2013 was pretty good one for GSN would be an understatement. This year, the 21-year old network improved its daytime schedule by acquiring the rights to air classic favorites including Sale of The Century, earlier episodes of Press Your Luck and Shop ’Til You Drop and added two great, original game shows to its primetime lineup with the Minute To Win It revival and the two seasons of the American rendition of The Chase. In 2014, GSN will attempt to extend its streak of creating successful original programming (excluding the predicted, ill-fated Family Trade) with the January premiere of the new survey game show Mind Of A Man and the new dating reality show It Takes A Church. Before we take a brief look at the two upcoming shows, let’s take a look at how GSN Games is preparing for the holiday season.

Vote For Your Favorite Game Show Moments of 2013!

The Jeopardy! IBM Challenge and Olympian Mo Farah conquering The Cube: What do these two game show highlights have in common? Both of these moments topped the list of The Blog Is Right’s “Top 10 Most Memorable Game Show Moments“ of 2011 and 2012, respectively. Since we are nearing the end of the year, it’s about time to take a look at the most exciting, enriching and downright incredible game show moments that stood out in 2013.  As I have stated on the TBIR Facebook feed earlier last week, I have already compiled a tentative list of the top eight (originally nine) game show moments of 2013. However, I need YOUR help in deciding which memorable moments should belong in the #9 and #10 spots. That’s where you, the reader, come in. In this year’s TBIR countdown, I’m going to let the readers decide which two of the listed moments are deemed worthy to be placed among the ranks of this year’s top game show highlights. Here are the remaining game show highlights that have yet to been listed on the Top 10 countdown list:
