In addition to The Chase wrapping up its third season tonight, GSN will be debuting another retrospect special called Game Show Flashback to air after a rerun of Idiotest. First, at 8:00pm EST, three more brave contestants will be going head-to-head-to-head against Mark Labbett for the final time this season on the network’s version of The Chase. Tonight’s contestants include a woman training to complete a marathon on every continent. So far this season, Labbett has only lost four Final Chases out of the 13 aired episodes thus far, including Seamus Dever and Dean Cain’s $100,000 win. The Chase has averaged about 639,000 viewers for the latter half of the third season.

GSN's "Baggage: On The Road" To Debut January 7
After making a cross-country tour to Austin, Tampa, Louisiana State University, and University of Connecticut within the past few months, Baggage: On The Road is set to premiere January 7, 2015 at 9:00pm EST on GSN. Jerry Springer will return as the show’s host and 20 half-hour episodes are scheduled to air this season. This will mark the show’s fourth season on the network. The gameplay’s the same with three contestants given a chance to win a date with the night’s featured contestant while the trio reveals three weird, quirky and embarrassing secrets about themselves. The last contestant remaining will have the option to keep the date or not after the featured contestant reveals his/her “baggage” at the end of the show.

GSN To Develop Horror-Themed Game Show With "Paranormal Activity" Producer
GSN has been on a roll lately by seeing success within its original programming department with shows like It Takes A Church, Idiotest, Skin Wars and The American Bible Challenge all returning next year. The network plans to continue its winning streak with the creation of Hellevator. Hellevator will be produced by Matador and Blumhouse Productions (the latter most famous for creating the Paranormal Activity movie franchise) in association with Lionsgate Television. Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin will serve as the show's executive producers. The new series has contestants entering a warehouse through a mysterious elevator where they will compete in a series of scary and suspenseful challenges and the survivors who make it out will be crowned winners.

GSN Renews "Idiotest" For Second Season
Yesterday, GSN announced its second season renewal of their latest new original series, Idiotest. This marks the third first-year show the network has renewed in 2014 in addition to It Takes A Church and Skin Wars. Sixty-five episodes have been ordered for the upcoming season and comedian Ben Gleib will return as the show’s host and producer. Although I personally haven’t been keeping up with the ratings for the show, according to Deadline, the series is coming off of three straight weeks of ratings increases and its first season nearly doubled its time period average (+82%) among women 18-49 compared to last year.
