"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates #33

Today's article is dedicated to keep you updated with the latest in game show news in 200 characters or less, from the premiere of two new network primetime game shows to the latest ratings for GSN's Minute To Win ItAll ratings for syndicated game shows are from the week of July 2.

A major network is currently casting for a new game show called Wall Of Fame. The casting call is requesting families of four who are up to date on pop culture and general knowledge trivia. 

Join Nick Lachey and Jane Lynch for the series premiere of The Winner Is and Hollywood Game Night July 11 at 9:00pm and 10:00pm EST on NBC!

Stay tuned for TBS's new hidden camera game show, Deal With It, July 17 at 10:30pm EST! The premiere episode will feature Yvette Nicole Brown and Howie Mandel as the show's special guests.

The back-to-back new episodes of GSN's Minute To Win It averaged 428,000 viewers during the 8:00pm and 9:00pm airings.

Syndicated game shows took a beating this week as Wheel of Fortune continues to suffer as it sunk 5%, down to a 5.6, and Jeopardy! dropped 2% to a new season-low of 5.3. 

Family Feud and Baggage also felt the sting of the ratings depression this week as Feud fell 4% down to a 4.3 and Baggage lost 18% down to a 0.9.

Fortunately, Millionaire was not affected the drop in syndicated game show ratings as its ratings remained unchanged freezing at a 2.3. 

July 2 marked the 40th anniversary of Match Game. The sidesplitting game show debuted on CBS in 1973 and is currently run as a revival series in Canada on The Comedy Network. 

GSN will be making slight changes to its early morning schedule starting July 15. Sale of the Century will move up to the 10am slot, Super Password down to 9am and Press Your Luck up to 9:30am EST.

Next week, viewers will have a chance to catch up on the latest episodes of Minute To Win It beginning next week during Tuesday afternoons on GSN.
