"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates (Part 13)

Happy Sunday everyone! This week's game show news article will once again highlight the latest in game show updates, premieres, and ratings in 200 characters or less, from ITV green-lighting a revival of a classic 1980s game show to a Ryan Seacrest reviving a forgotten 1970s game show. Here we go!

MTV's newest hidden camera game show Totally Clueless will debut on Monday, October 22 at 7:00pm EST. This show awards contestants cash if they can figure out that they are being pranked on the show.

The fear-induced, mind-deceiving game show Total Blackout returns to SyFy for a second season on October 30 at 10:00pm EST. Fun Fact: It's the channel's highest rated new series of 2012.

GSN's The American Bible Challenge crowned their first champions, Judson's Legacy, on Thursday's Grand Finale. The team won a total of $140,000 for their charity, Hunter's Hope.

The ITV daytime game show Tipping Point will be returning for a second series. Forty episodes have been ordered for the recommissioned series, which will debut in 2013.

Old news: ITV has ordered eight 45-minute episodes of the Catch Phrase revival series with host. The top prize of the 2012 revival: £50,000.

Ryan Seacrest is seeking to produce a new hip-hop game show Rhyme, Rap, or Reason for syndication. The show is based on the 1970s game show Rhyme or Reason, hosted by Bob Eubanks.

Wheel of Fortune continues to lead the pack of syndicated game shows and ranks third among all syndicated programs with a 6.4 rating, a two percent increase from last week.

Jeopardy! remains unchanged from the prior week as their ratings froze at 5.6.

Family Feud, ranked fifth among all syndicated programs, dipped down to a 4.1 rating compared to last week.

Millionaire's ratings decreased down a 2.1, while NBCUniversal's run of GSN's Baggage gained a 10-percent boost in ratings up to a 1.1 in the show's third week in syndication.

Not necessarily game show news: Beyoncé will be performing in the 2013 Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show.
