"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates (Part 15)

Happy Friday everyone! It's time again to updated you on the latest in game show news, ratings, and more in 200 characters or less from Beat The Chefs getting airtime again to NBC holding a casting call for their new singing competition game show. Here we go!

Wheel of Fortune will pay tribute to Military Families starting today. Wheel will air the special series of shows through the week November 12-16.

The producers for an upcoming new NBC game show called The Winner Is are now holding a casting calls searching for contestants who are able to sing for $1,000,000. Casting call ends on November 18.

The American Bible Challenge is now holding casting calls for the second season starting on November 15. Casting calls will be held in Memphis. Nashville, Detroit , Atlanta, and Dallas.

Check out the Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament, now in progress. The tournament will air through November 20, where a teacher will be crowned the champion and will be $100,000 richer.

Great news for improv fans: Starting on Friday, November 16, GSN’s Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza will return on Friday nights from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Stay tuned!

Beginning on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00am EST, GSN will air a special six-episode marathon of the short-lived GSN original series Beat The Chefs. 

Wheel of Fortune received a two percent boost from the prior week up to a 6.6, putting them in first place in syndication game show and second in overall syndicated programming.

Wheel’s sister show, Jeopardy!, also saw an increase in their ratings with a five percent bump bringing them to a 6.0.

Family Feud’s ratings dropped two percent down to a 4.1 and Disney/ABC's Millionaire’s ratings remained at a 2.3.

NBCUniversal’s acquisition of GSN’s Baggage continues to struggle as their ratings fell nine percent to a 1.0.
