It's been a while, but The Blog Is Right is back with the latest in game show news and updates from the past few weeks, from my brief review of the new U.K. game show 1001 Things You Should Know to the latest in game show television ratings. Enjoy!
During November
sweeps week, the ratings for the new Scripps interactive game show, Let's Ask America, increased
13% to a 1.8 from its premiere week in September.
Once again, Wheel of Fortune
retains its crown as the "king of syndicated game shows", leading the
pack with a 7.1 rating.
Jeopardy!
received a ratings boost of 2% to a 6.3, while Family Feud's ratings took a
tenth of a point dive this week down to 4.6 rating.
Millionaire’s
rating dipped 8% from the prior week down to a 2.3 and NBCUniversal's
acquisition of Baggage was flat for
the second week in a row at a 1.1.
A very quick review of Channel 4’s 1001 Things You Should Know: Great show, great host, nice classroom
set, and the returning champs are a nice touch.

Celador International, the creators behind Millionaire, won a $319 million lawsuit against Disney after the
company sued Disney in 2004 for hiding profits from the show.
Malaysia is set to debut the country's VERY first game show. The
new series, Panik, is a crossover of
shows such as Fear Factor, Total Blackout, and Ghost Hunters.

On Christmas Day, The Hub's Family
Game Night will air two back-to-back special holiday episodes starting at
noon.
BBC has decided to put Secret
Fortune on the back burner for now and give their new lottery game show, Break The Safe, a chance as eight
40-minute episodes have been ordered for the first series.
The Facebook game You Don't Know Jack, based on the popular PC game and former ABC game show of the same name, won the 2012 Spike Video Game Award for "Best Social Game".
Millionaire kicks off its special "Broadway Giveaway Week" tomorrow in honor of the 15th anniversary of The Lion King's Broadway show.
