GSN Seeking Contestants For "The Chase"

A week ago, GSN announced they will produce eight episodes of the network's newest original series, The Chase. GSN is now holding casting calls searching for contestants to compete against the clever and cunning Chasers.  For those of you who are not familiar with the show, The Chase is based on the popular ITV daytime game show of the same name in which a team of four contestants compete against television's finest quiz brains in a series of fast-paced trivia rounds for thousands of pounds in cash. Check out an episode on YouTube to get a taste of what you have to look forward to watching on GSN.

Saturday, April 27th, Los Angeles, CA; 8:00am, 1:00pm, 7:00pm 

Saturday, May 4th, New York City, NY; 8:00am, 1:00pm, 7:00pm 

Saturday, May 4th, Chicago, IL; 8:00am, 1:00pm, 7:00pm 

Saturday, May 11th, Boston, MA; 8:00am, 1:00pm, 7:00pm 

Saturday, May 11th, Washington D.C.; 8:00am, 1:00pm, 7:00pm 

I'm sure at one point of your life or another, you've heard the expression, "When opportunity knocks, answer the door"…or something along those lines. It looks like FOX may have missed out on one of the biggest game show opportunities for the network this year. I say this because although FOX filmed two pilots last year, they didn't bother picking up the show; a very interesting decision by FOX. Nevertheless, I was very surprised when I heard that GSN was picking up The Chase. The Broadcast Award-winning show is currently in its sixth series on ITV and it seems like there's no end in sight for the excellent U.K. quizzer. I hope The Chase has equal success on GSN and not fall flat on its face as what happened with the network's revival of 1 vs. 100. Stay tuned for The Chase later this year on GSN!
