Tonight's updates include the eighth civilian series premiere of The Chase on ITV, a new "man vs. machine" game show and the first nine celebrity panelists to appear on the third edition of Celebrity Squares.

As the fourth season of GSN’s version of The Chase comes to a close tonight, the eighth series of the ITV version kicked off in the UK this week. Monday’s show ended with a full team winning £22,000. 

Also, the first episode of the new series of The Chase: Celebrity Special, which aired on Saturday, saw cricketer Matthew Hoggard and TV host/novelist Fern Britton win £42,000 for their respective charities.

A new series of Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown debuts Friday, September 5 at 9:00pm BST featuring guest stars David Mitchell, Roisin Conaty and Phill Jupitus in Dictionary Corner. 

South Africa: Thato Molamu will be hosting the new SABC game show What’s Behind the Wall? The first season consists of 52 episodes. The show airs every Monday and Tuesday starting tonight at 7:00pm.

Ireland: TV3’s new game show, The Algorithm, is set to premiere in Spring 2015 with host Ray Foley. The show has a team trying to predict each others answers before “The Algorithm" does for €20,000.

GSN is still casting for its upcoming reality show, App Wars. The grand prize includes $10,000 plus a professional app developer will help turn your idea into an app. The casting call closes Sep. 20. 

Sunday’s new episode of ABC’s Wipeout averaged 3.57 million total viewers (+10.8% from last week) and a 1.0 rating among Adults 18-49 (+25% from last week).

Hip To Be Square: ITV’s reboot of Celebrity Squares premieres next Wednesday at 8:00pm BST with host Warrick Davis. Seven episodes have been ordered for the first series of the revived program. 

The first episode of Celebrity Squares guest stars include James Corden, Catherine Tyldesley, Jamelia, Tom Rosenthal, Charlotte Hawkins, Mick Miller, Sara Pascoe, Tim Vine and Joe Wilkinson.
