ABC announced Wednesday that former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and veteran game show panelist/host Betty White will star as resident panelists on the network’s revival of To Tell The Truth. Six episodes of the revived series have been ordered by the network from FremantleMedia North America and will be hosted by Anthony Anderson. Also joining the core cast are Anderson’s lively mother, Doris, as the official scorekeeper and Cheche and his Band of Liars, the house band who will close every episode with a “show stopping performance”. Although the premiere date has not been announced yet, the show will be taping July 13-15 in Los Angeles, CA. Barry Poznick, Toby Gorman, Thom Beers, Jeff Gaspin, George Moll and Anthony Anderson will serve as the show’s executive producers.
Making it the sixth American game show to air on all three of original "Big Three” networks (Password, Let’s Make A Deal, The Price Is Right, Match Game, Family Feud), To Tell The Truth has four celebrity panelists try to guess which of the three different people, who all claim to be the same person, is telling the truth about their identity. The show originally debuted in 1956 on with host Bud Collyer and has been revived several times over the past half-century with the latest incarnation lasting for only two seasons in syndication during the early 2000s with host John O’ Hurley. Additionally, thanks to ABC greenlighting this version, To Tell The Truth is now one of the five game shows to have aired at least one new episode in at least six consecutive decades along with The Price Is Right, Let's Make a Deal, The Newlywed Game, and Jeopardy!.

This version will so have epic fail written all over it, so much epic fail that Bud Collyer, Garry Moore, Bill Cullen, Joe Garagiola, Robin Ward, Gordon Elliott, Lynn Swann, Alex Trebek and John O'Hurley would not approve of this travesty at all.
