“Jeopardy” 2016 Teen Tournament Begins November 9

After taking a two-year hiatus, the show’s Teen Tournament returns this week with fifteen whiz kids competing for a chance to win $100,000. The two-week event will be held in Washington D.C. at DAR Constitution Hall, making it the second time in four years the show has held the tourney at the historic venue. The 2014 tournament was quite memorable when Alan Koolik and Jeff Xie tied with $54,200 each at the end of the of the second day of the finals and the game was decided by a tense, tie-breaking clue. Xie buzzed in with the correct response and won the $75,000 top prize. The winner of this year’s tournament receives $100,000; second place earns $50,000; third place takes home $25,000; and the semifinalists and quarterfinalists will respectively leave with $10,000 and $5,000.
