News In A Flash!: Quick Game Show Updates #92

This week's quick update article will take a look at the some of the latest game show news from the past week in 200 characters or less. This week's highlights include the 500 Questions second season finale, two new series coming to GSN within the next two weeks, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hold road auditions in four states this month and The Price Is Right airing a Father's Day special later this month.

Wednesday’s two-hour second season finale of 500 Questions averaged 4.5 million viewers (0.8 A18-49 rating). The season ended with Guy Jordan’s record-breaking $169,000 and 241-question totals.

Stay tuned for the series premieres of Winsanity and Skin Wars: Fresh Paint, respectively hosted by Donald Faison and RuPaul Charles, on June 9 and June 15 on GSN. 




The Price Is Right Live will be hearing to Fargo, North Dakota on September 22 at 7:30pm. Tickets will be going on sale June 10 from $31-$51 at the Tickets300 box office and jadepresents.com.

Millionaire will be holding open auditions in Indianapolis, Philadelphia, New York City and Seattle on June 13, June 15, June 17 and June 29, respectively.

Access Hollywood took a behind-the-scenes look at ABC’s To Tell The Truth revival and interviewed panelists Betty White and NeNe Leakes and host Anthony Anderson about the upcoming series.

Some of the celebrities who will be featured on the upcoming ABC revival of The $100,000 Pyramid include Teri Polo, Zachary Levi, Joy Behar, Nicey Nash and Kevin Pollak. 

The Week reviewed “everything you need to know” about the 2016 edition of BBC’s Robot Wars revival. Dara Ó Briain will be hosting the upcoming show and Robot Wars will debut later this year.

Bother’s Bar posted an update featuring a list of UK game shows, panel shows and competitive reality programs seeking audience members and/or contestants including QI with new host Sandi Toksvig.

Genesis Studio will begin taping episodes of the Nigerian version of The Price Is Right in August and the show is scheduled to debut in January 2017. 

The Price Is Right will be airing a special Father’s Day episode on Friday, June 17 during CBS daytime.
