"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates (Part 6)

I hope everyone is enjoying tonight's preseason Sunday Night Football game. TV host Marc Summers is recovering from facial injuries after a cab accident in Philadelphia on August 10, while leaving an airport. The car hydroplaned, causing Summers to fly into the cab window.

Claire and Julie became the third £100,000 winners Saturday night on Secret Fortune. The triumphant team won the top prize with their “lucky” number 13 envelope.

The second series of the celebrity edition of The Chase premiered tonight with four celebs playing against Anne Hegerty. Rachel Riley, Keith Duffy, Mark Charnock defeated Hegerty and won £66,000.

The controversial ITV show Red Or Black returned last night and crowned its first £500,000 grand prize, Sophie Shaw. The second series debut averaged only 3.4 million viewers, 47% less than last year.

In an effort to sue ABC for claims of copyright infringement and ripping off Big Brother, CBS dropped the lawsuit against ABC and The Glass House, mainly due to the show’s dismal ratings.

The series premiere of Oh Sit! pulled 1.2 million viewers on Wednesday. Sadly, they lost over 25% of their viewers from the first night as the second episode managed to attract only 911,000 viewers. 

The newest episode of Wipeout pulled over 5.4 million viewers, an improvement compared to last week's newest episode, which only pulled 4.8 million viewers.

Not necessarily game show news, but check this out: Cee-Lo Green will be performing the theme song for NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football, which will premiere in September this NFL season.
