Last year, Deal or No Deal took home the NTA for "Best Daytime Programme. The Chase, now into its sixth series, made it through the first round of voting, surpassing Deal Or No Deal, Perfection, Pointless, and the most recent ITV1 newcomer, Tipping Point. This is the show's first nomination for any television award.
The four programmes nominated for the NTA for "Best Daytime Programme" are The Chase, Come Dine With Me, The Jeremy Kyle Show, featuring former High Stakes host Jeremy Kyle, and This Morning, featuring The Cube host Philip Scofield. The final round of voting is now open and you can click here to vote for the favorite shows most deserving of an NTA. Voting closes in the afternoon on January 23. The NTAs is also holding a Facebook and Twitter competition where you could win two tickets to the 2013 National Television Awards at The O2 Arena in London by asking NTA's mascot, Rocket, a question about anything via one or both of the aforementioned social networking sites. Check out the highlights from last year's NTAs featuring iconic British television hosts Bruce Forsythe and Ant and Dec on NTA's YouTube page. For all the U.K. viewers, The National Television Awards will air live on ITV1 on January 23 and best of luck to The Chase. With an excellent host like Bradley Walsh at the helm, nail-biting and fast-paced gameplay, and a great cast of Chasers, this show should be a shoo-in for an NTA win.
