"News In A Flash!": Quick Game Show Updates (Part 26)


Today's article is dedicated to keeping you updated with the latest in game show news in 200 characters or less, from Daytime Emmy game show nominees to the latest scuttlebutt on NBC's two newest game shows. All ratings for syndicated game shows are from the week of April 30. Enjoy!

GSN will be airing a sneak peek episode of Minute To Win It May 23 at 10:00pm EST after The American Bible Challenge.

NBC's two new game shows The Winner Is with host Nick Lachey and Hollywood Game Night with host Jane Lynch will debut July 11 at 9:00pm and 10:00pm EST.

Highlight of the week: Debora Gossett Rivers wins $250,000 and a Disney Vacation on Millionaire and The Price Is Right’s first-ever Kids’ Special.

Stay tuned for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards will air Sunday, June 14 on HLN, which will honor Monty Hall and Bob Stewart.  


Ben Bailey, Wayne Brady, Billy Eichner, Steve Harvey and Alex Trebek have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Game Show Host”. 


Family Feud, Cash Cab, Jeopardy!, Let's Make A Deal, The Price Is Right and Millionaire have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Game Show”.

Hulu has recently picked up Money Where Your Mouth Is, a new comedic game show hosted by Jay Mohr. The show will feature teams of lifelong friends wagering their possessions in a trivia battle.  


Australia, Brazil, France and Ukraine have each acquired the format of the newest ABC game show Bet On Your Baby.

Let's Make A Deal will give contestants a chance to win $20,000 in cash every day, courtesy of the Publisher's Clearing House Prize Patrol, all next week from May 6 to May 10.

Syndicated superstars Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy have faded 4% and 5% in ratings, down to a 6.5 and a 5.7, respectively.

Family Feud's and Millionaire's ratings dipped 4% and 13%, down to a 4.3 and a 2.1. 

It looks like NBCU's Baggage was the only syndicated game show winner this week as the show's rating's rose 10% from the previous week to a 1.1.
