With all the specials The Price Is Right has aired during past season, including Big Money Week, the "Models Rule" April Fool's Special and series' first-ever Kids' Week, it's no surprise that the long-running daytime series won the award. This is the first time The Price Is Right won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show since 2007, the same year Drew Carey took Bob Barker's place as the show's host. A lot has happened on the show since 2007, from celebrities playing along with the contestants, to giving away $1 million (on more than one occasion), to hiring a permanent male model to accompany "Drew's Beauties". I love what the production staff have done with the show and I hope they continue to build on their success. On a somewhat related note, congratulations to John Davidson, the host of the 1994 short-lived syndicated version The New Price Is Right for his Daytime Emmy victory for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series on Young and The Restless.
Congratulations to Ben Bailey, Monty Hall, Bob Stewart and The Price Is Right production staff for their award wins and achievements! Check out some of their highlights in videos below.
