Googlebox is producing Release The Hounds, the hour format that has three players face the “scariest
challenges ever endured on TV”. It will premiere on ITV2 later this month in
time for Halloween.
Jeopardy has
released the roster of the contestants who will return to compete in the Battle
of The Decades Tournament. The 80s Fan Favorite poll will be open until October
7 at 6:59am PST.
Mark Burnett’s newest game show, Trust Me, I’m A Game Show Host, will be premiering on TBS October
22 at 10:30pm EST. The lie-detecting game show will be hosted by D.L. Hughley
and Michael Ian Black.
John Barrowman has signed on to become the host of the new
BBC One game show Pressure Pad. Two
teams of five will compete in trivia showdown for a £2,000 prize and a progressive jackpot cash prize.
Beachfront Media has partnered with FremantleMedia to
develop the “Family Feud” app. The app allows users to view clips and auditions
from past seasons with hosts Steve Harvey and John O’Hurley.
Millionaire will
be holding auditions for the current season on October 9th at the Colonie
Center in Albany, NY. Auditions will begin at 1:00pm EST.
A major cable television network is casting a
family-friendly reality competition show asking the age-old question “Who is
mom’s favorite?” The casting information is posted on Reality Wanted.
Wheel of Fortune
improved 5% up to a 6.4, while Jeopardy!
gained 9% up to a 5.8.
After wrapping up its last season by tying with Wheel among daytime’s keys demographic
of women 25-54 at a 2.4 rating, Family
Feud finished the week 2% higher at a 4.6.
Millionaire, with
Cedric the Entertainer at the helm, bumped up 5% up to a 2.2 and NBCU’s Baggage remained flat at a 1.0.
