STAY TUNED: Season Two Of “It Takes A Church” Premieres Tonight on GSN

The sophomore reality dating series returns with new episodes and new singles looking to make a love connection with help from their church members. The second season of It Takes A Church is set to debut tonight at 8:00pm EDT on GSN with returning host Natalie Grant. In each episode, the show travels to various churches around the nation to surprise unsuspecting singles with news of friends and family of the church helping them pick their suitors. After a series of dates takes place, at the end of the show when a match has been made, the matchmaker who introduced the suitor to the featured bachelor/bachelorette wins a donation made to the church in their name. Viewers will have a chance to chat with Natalie Grant live via Facebook (Facebook.com/NatalieGrantMusic) starting at 7:45pm EDT through the rest of the show.

This season’s highlights include guest appearances by actors David & Tamela Mann from Madea’s Big Happy Family and American Idol runner-up Bo Bice. In its first season, over six million total viewers tuned into It Takes A Church. The series achieved triple-digit growth among Women 18-49 (+113%) and almost doubled in viewers among Women 25-54 (+94%), Persons 18-49 (+88%) and Persons 25-54 (+70%) compared to viewing figures the prior year. It Takes A Church has received mixed reviews from various media outlets, from The New York Times calling the show "utterly frivolous" to The Hallway of Faith praising the series for putting a "light on a group that [...] gets overlooked a lot and that is the Christian singles group." The show has even won an award from Elev8 Digital Entertainment in 2014 for "Best Faith Reality Docu-Series". Stay tuned for the return of It Takes A Church tonight on GSN!
