Rules For GSN's "Hellevator"

Earlier this week, GSN released a new promo announcing the date and time of the series premiere of Hellevator, which airs Wednesday, October 21 at 8:00pm ET, as well as a press release synopsizing the show’s rules. Throughout the first eight-episode season, a team of three friends rides a haunted elevator and stop on various floors in an abandoned slaughterhouse.

On each level, one contestant must exit from the “Hellevator” and face a fright-filled challenge to earn money for the team. If they failed to complete the challenge in time, the Hellevator will move on without them. The final challenge the team must face is “The Labyrinth”. In The Labyrinth, the remaining teammates must navigate their way through a horrifying maze for a chance to win more money. Teams could win up to $50,000. Jen and Sylvia Soska (a.k.a. The “Twisted Twins”) will be the maniacal masterminds hosting the series while finding numerous ways to terrify teams during each game. Hellevator is produced by Matador and Blumhouse Productions in association with Lionsgate Television and is executive produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Ouija, Insidious), Jay Peterson, and Todd Lubin of Matador (Lip Sync Battle) and Shye Sutherland (Wipeout, Bullseye).

Check out the latest promo to Hellevator in the clip below and stay tuned for the premiere of GSN’s new show in October. According to the “Twisted Twins”, after all – “it’s just a game”.

  1. Are they aloud to touch/slightly harm the contestants?

    1. From what I've seen from the first episode, they are allowed to touch the contestants to "spook" them, but not actually harm the contestants, even in the slightest way.
