Special Weeks Announced For 14th Season Of "Millionaire"

Along with Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! and Family Feud, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will begin its new season in syndication Monday, September 14. Unlike the three aforementioned shows, Millionaire will see yet another change in its format and host with The Bachelor's Chris Harrison taking over. The revised format will be going back to basics by switching back to the Money Ladder format after taking a five-year absence thanks to the Shuffle format. The 14-question 2015-16 money ladder is as follows: $500; $1,000; $2,000; $3,000; $5,000; $7,000; $10,000; $20,000; $30,000; $50,000; $100,000; $250,000; $500,000; $1 million. The three lifelines that will be at the contestants' disposal this year are Plus One, Ask The Audience and the return of 50:50. List below are the speciality weeks scheduled to air this season, including a few from returning from the past few years.

"OFF TO COLLEGE WEEK" (September 28-October 2): Smart young people from across the country play to win some cash as they head off to school in the fall

"BUCKET LIST WEEK" (October 26-30): Millionaire helps contestants check off items from their list of things to do before they ... well, you know.

"BACHELOR FAN FAVORITES" (November 2-6) and (February 1-5): Favorite contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will be reunited with Harrison to compete during two special weeks this season

"SECOND CHANCE WEEK" (November 9-13): Memorable players who got a question wrong last season return for another chance to go all the way to $1 million

"ELIGIBLE BACHELOR WEEK" (November 16-20): Some of the most eligible guys in America come to Millionaire seeking THE ONE ... that is, the one with six zeros behind it!

"ARMED FORCES WEEK" (December 14-18): As part of the holiday season, Millionaire welcomes true American heroes from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard

"WHIZ KIDS" (February 8-12): Some of the smartest kids in the country, from 8-15 years old, take on Millionaire

"SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN" (February 15-19): Millionaire partners with The Shriners Hospitals for Children to raise money for this special cause. Special Olympian Blake Leeper will donate all of his winnings when he plays on the final show of the week.

"MOVIE WEEK" (February 22-26): Movie trivia buffs show off their knowledge by taking on a totally movie-themed slate of questions

We'll see if these changes will be enough for Millionaire to at least return to a 2.0 household rating. Stay tuned for the 14th season of Millionaire September 14 in syndication. Check your local listings for air dates and times.
