Fourth Season of GSN's "The Chase" To Premiere January 27th

Mark "The Beast" Labbett and host Brooke Burns return to GSN later this month for all new episodes of The Chase. The Emmy-nominated show's upcoming fourth season debuts Tuesday, January 27 at 8:00pm EST.  This season will feature more brainy contestants facing tough general knowledge trivia questions as well as a series of special themed shows. Special episodes include two celebrity games, with Carson Kressley (How to Look Good Naked), Cameron Mathison (All My Children) and Tatyana Ali (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) competing February 3 and Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Brian Letscher (Scandal) competing later this year, and a "revenge" episode inviting back three losing contestants to face "The Beast" for a second time.

During the third season, The Chase showed growth in ratings among persons 18-49 (+42%), persons 25-54 (+47%), women 25-54 (+33%), women 18-49 (+38%) and total viewership versus GSN's year-to-date time period average (+44%).  During the first half of the season (nine episodes), the show's total viewership held steady at an impressive averaged of 569,000 viewers. The second half series of shows (five episodes) averaged over 598,000 viewers. The Chase's overall performance on the network continues to impress me. The last season is on par with season two in terms of seeing more ratings increases on a week-to-week basis. The redemption episode will be one to definitely one to keep in mind as the new season approaches as well as the star-studded Scandal episodes for those of you who are fans of the Shonda Rhimes-produced ABC drama.
