I can’t think of a better way for a game show to celebrate a
milestone occasion, such as Wheel of Fortune's 30th anniversary in syndication, than to give away a ton of cash; specifically, $1 million in
cash. Autumn Erhard, from Laguna Niguel, CA, became the show's second million-dollar winner on Thursday’s show after she solved
“TOUGH WORKOUT” in the bonus round, a very difficult puzzle to solve
considering she was only given two T's, a G and an R scattered across the puzzleboard to work with. Thirty year-old Erhard is now the
show’s biggest winner, winning a total of $1,030,340 in cash and prizes
including a trip to Arizona and Belize.

Brooke Burns To Host GSN's "The Chase"
Well, it looks like the stage is set for GSN’s The Chase as former Dog Eat Dog host and You Deserve It co-host Brooke Burns will be the host of the upcoming GSN
series “The Chase”. The network announced in April that Mark Labbett, U.K. quiz show superstar and one of the four
Chasers for ITV’s The Chase, will be
“the Chaser” hunting down the contestants in the upcoming GSN U.K. import
series. Burns will also be the host of another GSN dating series call What Have You Been All My Life. According to Deadline,
NBC Sports sportscaster Dan Patrick was the leading candidate for the hosting
job before negotiations fell through at the last minute. No news on the show’s
official premiere airdate, but I will make sure to keep you informed.

"Wheel" Celebrates 30 This Week
Wheel of Fortune will be celebrating its 30th year in
syndicated television with a special “Celebrating 30” motif this week. This
week’s contestants have all reached 30-year milestones in their lives and the show,
named as the “top-rated syndicated series” by TV Guide, will be celebrating
along with them by rewarding them with big money and luxurious prizes. The
long-running series has been celebrating all season with special episodes
filmed in New York City, multiple Tweetstakes, new puzzle categories and more
chances for the home viewers and contestants to win more cash. Technically, the big Wheel has been spinning for more than 38 years when the series first premiered
in January 6, 1975 on NBC with Chuck Woolery at the helm. Nonetheless, check
out this week’s promo on the show’s
site.

One-on-One Spotlight Interview: "The Experts" Producer/Creator Alan Bailey
The
Experts, YouTube’s first weekly game show, kicked off its the second season about three weeks
ago. For those of you who are not familiar with the online series, The Experts has three
contestants competing against each other to see who is the most knowledgeable in
their subject of expertise for cash prizes. Last week, I had the privilege of
interviewing one of the producers and creators of the award-winning web series,
director and playwright Alan Bailey. Bailey is no stranger to game shows as he
was an undefeated, five-time Jeopardy champion
in 2001 and even had the courage to match wits with Watson, the IBM
supercomputer…and won! Check out my interview with Alan Bailey, as he discusses
his past game show experiences and more about The Experts. Enjoy!
