Evening News Updates For October 13, 2014

This evening's article will cover a few game show highlights from the past few days including SNL’s parody of Hollywood Game Night featuring SNL alums Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, a huge win on the first day of The Price Is Right’s second Dream Car Week and Sports Jeopardy getting off to a great start in regards to its viewership.

SNL Does "Hollywood Game Night"
For years, Saturday Night Live has parodied and poked fun at many well-known game shows from Millionaire with Kenan Thompson’s spot-on impression of Steve Harvey while he was guest hosting to Celebrity Jeopardy with Alex Trebek’s, played by Will Ferrell, futile attempts to get Sean Connery (Darrell Hammond) and Burt Reynolds (Norm MacDonald) to behave themselves. Check out humorous sketch in the video below.

Jacob Caughey Plays "Lucky Seven" For Porsche Cayenne
It has been a very busy couple of weeks for CBS daytime game shows with a third contestant winning over $70,000 thanks to the Super Deal on Let’s Make A Deal, the first Double Showcase winner of the 43rd season of The Price Is Right and the show’s second Dream Car Week kicking off to a fantastic start. Contestant Jacob Caughey had the honor of the first pricing game with a luxury car at stake for the week: Lucky Seven for a Porsche Cayenne. In addition to winning the car, Jacob’s performance will go down in TPIR pricing game history as one of the best Lucky Seven playings in the show’s history as he only lost $1. On a quick end note, it's very interesting the producers opted against choosing a car whose price did not end with a 5.

"Sports Jeopardy!" Approaches One Million Viewers After Three Weeks
The sports version of the iconic answer-question game show is rapidly closing in on one million full-episode views of after three episodes have been broadcasted online. Additionally, nearly half of all viewers who tuned in were new to the video streaming website since Sports Jeopardy’s premiere three weeks ago. Check out the most recent episode of the new game show on Crackle with a special appearance by Alex Trebek.
