STAY TUNED: Summer Game Shows To Watch

There are a lot of game show premieres coming down the pike within the next couple weeks, including the ABC game shows returning tonight. This week, ABC reignites its Sunday primetime game show lineup with the brand new reality competition series Funderdome making its network debut, SuperHuman is airing its first episode of the season since the competitive human interest series premiered as a one-off special in January, and Winsanity and Emogenius premiere on GSN for their second and first seasons, respectively. Primetime Watch For Sunday, July 31, 2016

NBC Renews "Hollywood Game Night" For Fifth Season

During the peacock network's 2016 upfront presentation earlier this week, NBC announced its renewal of the primetime party game show Hollywood Game Night. The show is scheduled to return during the 2016-17 mid-season toward the end of the year. Hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Jane Lynch, Hollywood Game Night pits two teams of three stars and a civilian contestant against each other in a series of party games for a chance to play the "Celebrity Name Game" end game for $25,000. Since this news had just been recently announced, there is no word yet on which stars will be featured for the show's fifth season.

“Hollywood Game Night” Returns For Fourth Season In January 2016

NBC’s veteran hit game show Hollywood Game Night will be coming back to NBC early next year for its fourth season on January 5 at 8:00pm ET. Hosted by Jane Lynch, the series will once again give civilian contestants a chance to play various puzzle and word association party games with some of their favorite celebrities for up to $25,000. Last season, Hollywood Game Night averaged a respectable 1.5 rating among the key Adults 18-49 demographic and an equally laud-worthy 5.3 million viewers overall. The show had also thoroughly defeated its network competition by taking the top spot in every Tuesday 10:00pm time slot last season during the summer.
