Today's update will review some of the latest game show news headlines from the past week in 200 characters or less including updates featured on the TBIR Facebook page. Quick updates include the second season premiere of Sports Jeopardy! under a revised format, big winners on The Chase, The Chase Australia, another quarter-million dollar winner on Millionaire and some of the latest ratings updates. 

Quick Review of "Sports Jeopardy!"

The latest Jeopardy! spinoff, hosted by veteran sportscaster Dan Patrick, plays similarly to the original version. The only differences between the two shows are the contestants playing for points in the game, the winner of the game receives $5,000 while second and third place earns $2,000 and $1,000, respectively; there are four clues per category and they are valued at 250, 500, 750 and 1000 (500, 1000, 1500, 2000 in Double Jeopardy!). The season’s three highest scoring players return to compete in the two-game Championship Match at the end of the season where the winner receives $50,000. 

Game Shows To Watch For The Week of September 21st

Good morning, game show fans! As we enter into the final week of Fall game show premieres, today’s article will highlight first-time and returning game shows making their debut this week as well as a GSN reality show wrapping its first season on Wednesday. The highlighted game shows include Celebrity Name Game, Crackle’s Sports Jeopardy!, CBS’s The Price Is Right and Let’s Make A Deal, the return of ITV2’s Release The Hounds and GSN's Skin Wars.

Happy weekend, everyone! I have a lot a news to cover today from the past couple of days. Some of the news featured on this afternoon's article may have been already covered on The Blog Is Right Facebook page. Today's headlines include Julia Collins making Jeopardy! history, a new Jeopardy! interactive spinoff in the making and the History Channel ordered the first season of its new Pawn Shop-inspired game show. All ratings for syndicated game shows are from the week ending April 20.
