Game Show Spotlight: Wheel Celebrates 6,000 Shows With “Wheel 6,000 Week”
Beginning today, Wheel of Fortune will be celebrating its 6,000-episode longevity in syndication all week long. Ever since the popular game show knocked off Family Feud out of the top ranking during the 1980s, Wheel of Fortune has been, and is currently, the highest rated syndicated game show in the U.S. Only a handful of game shows have ever been privileged of reaching the 6,000-episode milestone including The Price Is Right, Jeopardy!, and Countdown. To mark the occasion, two Wheel Watchers Club member whose SPIN IDs are revealed will win the temporarily inflated jackpot of $6,000, instead of the usual $5,000 prize and the $5,000 wedge will be replaced with a $6,000 wedge. Also, Pat and Vanna will be reminiscing about some of their memories of the show over its 30-year-history.

Teams Revealed For Third Season of "American Bible Challenge"
In about a month from today, The American Bible Challenge will be kicking off its third season off on GSN. On Wednesday via press release, GSN announced the roster of the 18 three-person teams who will be competing in the upcoming season, which begins Thursday, May 22 at 8:00pm ET. Jeff Foxworthy will once again take the helm with Kirk Franklin serving as co-host/music director and give one team the opportunity to win over $140,000 toward their favorite charity. Like every year, these teams come from all walks of life and range in various professions from motorcycle riding priests to former beauty queens. In addition to new teams, this season will also bring new mini-Biblical trivia games including delineating between words from the Bible and words from Star Trek’s Klingon language in “Christ or Klingon” and decoding mistakenly “autocorrected” Bible passages in “Curse You Autocorrect”. Check out the list of the 18 contenders entering into the Biblical arena this season below:

Interesting News: ITV's "Ejector Seat" Bribes Audience To Watch Taping
In the world of game shows, it’s not unusual for shows to give away door prizes and small gifts to select members of their studio audience. However, it is unusual to use those same gifts to literally bribe your audience to stop them from walking out of a game show taping. This was an unfortunate case the producers had run into while filming an episode of the new ITV game show, Ejector Seat. The program, hosted by Andi Peters, has its contestants sit in "ejector seats” and attempt to avoid being sprung out of the chairs by answering questions correctly. The last contestant sitting will have a chance to play the final round for up to £10,000. During the taping, the specially-rigged seats frequently malfunctioned, which caused several delays to occur and the crew members running back and forth on the set to fix them.
