DVR Watch List For The Week of July 29-August 3

Today’s article will take a look at some of the game shows you should check out throughout the week including new episodes, season and series premieres and special theme shows, nationally and internationally. Make sure to set your DVRs (or, at the very least, watch the encores online) if you are not able to view some of these shows. (Quick end note: The reason I created the "watch list" from Tuesday-Sunday is because there was not much of anything happening on Monday.)

Even though it has been about a month since I have published one of my weekly "News In A Flash" updates in lieu of the recently instated "Morning/Afternoon/Evening News" updates, the article's premise remains the same in covering many game show news headlines and updates from the past few days in 200 characters or less, along with some that may have been already covered on The Blog Is Right Facebook page from another season of The Winner Is kicking off in Nigeria to another contestant winning big on Million Dollar Minute. All ratings for syndicated game shows are from the week ending July 13.

Facts On "The Feud": Australian "Family Feud" To Premiere Monday, July 14

In less than a work week, Family Feud returns to Australian television on Ten Network with former Million Dollar Minute host Grant Denyer. Hoping to emulate the success of the U.S. version hosted by Steve Harvey, the show will air daily at 6:00pm AST. Denyer has already expressed his excitement of the revived series by stating it is "a fantastic show that the entire family can truly sit down all together and enjoy." With over 7,000 families appearing for the casting call a few weeks ago, I think its safe to say that the public shares Denyer's sentiment in regards to the show making a comeback. Today's article will quickly review what you need to know about the updated series.

Halftime Highlights: Top Game Show Moments From January-June 2014

As we enter into the early beginnings of the third quarter of the year 2014, The Blog Is Right is going to take a look back at some of the key moments that occurred during each month of the first half of the year. Think of this as somewhat of a halftime show without the cheerleaders, mascot races, monkeys riding dogs or Chris Berman voicing over the highlight reel. Keep these number one monthly moments in mind as they will more than likely reappear in this year’s end-of-the-year Top 10 Countdown list.
